Alloys
PC/ABS resins are Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (PC/ABS) high impact amorphous thermoplastic blends that combine ease of processing with low-temperature ductility. This resin family provides excellent heat and impact resistance, as well as outstanding aesthetics. PC/ABS Resin blends offer an excellent design solution when both appearance and durability are important.
PC/PBT alloys are a blend of semi-crystalline polyester (typically polybutylene terephthalate, PBT, or polyethylene terephthalate, PET) and polycarbonate (PC). The PC/PBT resin family offers good chemical resistance, great impact resistance even at low temperatures, heat resistance, and outstanding aesthetic and flow characteristics. Typical applications are parts that require excellent impact strength and improved chemical resistance compared to straight polycarbonate.
PEI/PC is a blend of polyetherimide and polycarbonate resulting in a family of products with high heat resistance then straight polycarbonate and improved flow characteristics compared to PEI. This product is also much more cost effective then straight PEI compounds.
